Internship- Education/ Publicity Intern
PAY: Internship Units (1-2 units)
HOURS: 4-8 per week- Variable
DURATION: 1Quarter, extensions possible


Brief Description- The Education/ Publicity Intern is a newly founded internship focused on providing educational materials as well as compost presentations at campus events. The main purpose of this internship is to spread the steamy joy of compost to campus organizatins, departments, the congenial general public, and anyone else who is willing to listen. This intern will work super-close with the Project Compost Offce Director to preach the good word of Resource Recovery and focus on the education of “waste” elimination. Self-motivation and a passion for Environmental Education and positive change is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:
1. Attend weekly staff meeting and collaborate with staff , volunteers, and other interns
2. Relish in the humid splendor of a weekly compost run
3. Place info about Project Compost all around campus and at all the hot spots just off campus by chalkboarding, flyering, and setting up A-frame boards
4. Contact campus departments, organizations, and administration concerning home and office composting 5. Assist Office Director with Project Compost presentations
