Internship - Whole Earth Reusables Co-operative Intern (WERC) PAY: Internship Units (1-2 units)
HOURS: 4-8 per week- Variable
DURATION: Fall Quarter- Starting in October


Brief Description- The Whole Earth Reusables Co-operative (WERC) is a newly founded organization focused on providing reusable plates, cups, and utensils to a variety of campus events. The reusable items are owned and used by the ASUCD Whole Earth Festival and operated as partnership between Project Compost and the Whole Earth Festival. WERC hopes to get the reusable items put in use year round at student group events, department picnics, city functions, and various state wide out-door events. WERC preaches the word of Reuse and focuses on education on waste elimination. The intern would work with both Project Compost and the Whole Earth Festival to get word out to the community about this resource, help set-up and coordinate use of the reusable items at a variety of events, and properly manage this resource.

Responsibilities:
-Place info about the reusables on the Project Compost, WEF, and R4 Webpage
-Contact campus departments (letter) concerning the use of this resource
-Work with Student Planning and Activities (SPAC) to notify campus reserved events of the option of reusable dinnerware
-Work with the Coffee House and Sodexho USA to get these items in use through catering events
-Student Outreach on waste elimination education (borrow a plate program)
- Attend weekly staff meeting and collaborate with staff , volunteers, and other interns
