Internship - Compost Demonstration Site Intern
PAY: Internship Units (1-2 units)
HOURS: 4-8 per week- Variable
DURATION: 1 Quarter, extensions possible


Brief Description- Project Compost operates a Composting Demonstration Site at the Fertile Cresent of the Tri-Cooperative Garden. This internship entails the establishiment of a small bumpin’ garden and any other methods of displaying the many uses and benefits of compost. The internship also requires some sign making and the management of a variety of small scale composting systems, including worm compostng.
No previous experience with composting is necessary, although self-motivation and a interest in Ecology are a must. The intern will be working closely with the Logistics/ Liaison Director to further develop the Compost Demonstration Site.

Responsibilities:
1. Attend weekly staff meeting and collaborate with staff , volunteers, and other interns
2. Enjoy the steamy pleasure of a weekly compost run
3. Work with Logistics/ Liaison Director to further develop the Compost Demonstration Site
4. Help manage a variety of compost demonstration bins
5. Research other compost demonstration sites throughout the country
