Here are a variety of internships we have now or have had in the past. Other internships may be created if anyone has a good idea for one.

Volunteers There are many wonderful people who volunteer their time for Project Compost. Most volunteers go on compost runs and collect food matter from pick-up sites on campus. Volunteers also help with giving workshops, tabling, making educational material, and many other things.
Volunteer opportunities are always available. If you would like to volunteer with Project Compost, call us at (530)754-8227, e-mail us at projectcompost@yahoo.com, or just come to a meeting. We meet at every Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the Project Compost Office, MU 43 (in the basement of the Municipal Union).

Internships
Internships are an essential part of Project Compost. Project Compost was actually started by an intern from R4 Recycling! Interns are great because they don’t get paid in cash, but with academic units. Mark Van Horn, of the student farm, sponsors our internships. Internships are posted on the ASUCD job board and get 1 unit of credit under (AMR)Agricultural Management & Rangeland Resources 92 or 192 for every 4 hrs of work per week. The interns must meet with Mark to discuss their quarter project and fill out a 1 page internship contract.
